What is Ordinary Time?

A time to reflect on the extraordinary presence of Christ in the ordinary workings of our daily life. During this season the color green is prominently displayed, signifying life, hope, and the continual growth of our faith-life under the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Because Ordinary Time coincides with the natural seasons of spring and summer, the natural world acts as a powerful witness to the potential of our own renewed life in Christ.

In 2021, the first Ordinary Time goes from after the Baptism of Our Lord (January 10th) until Shrove Tuesday (February 16th).
