Action in Community Through Service (ACTS)
ACTS services are separated into two main categories: Human Services and Crisis Services.
Human Services: Emergency Assistance, Food Assistance, Housing, Thrift Store
Crisis Services: Crisis Helpline | 703-368-4141 | Domestic Violence, Sexual Assualt, Suicide Loss SupportServices include a comprehensive domestic violence prevention and intervention program to include the whole family—women, men and children. In addition, Helpline provides an anonymous crisis telephone service as well as resource referrals. The support groups sponsored by the Helpline are essential to people who have lost a loved one to suicide or who have attempted suicide.Each of the programs addresses the mission of ACTS: to alleviate hunger, homelessness and interpersonal violence in order to help individuals achieve self-sufficiency.
