“Love one another as I have loved you.”
Jesus Christ calls each person, by virtue of their baptismal character, to serve all men and women with a divine, self-giving love. As Christians, we are called to serve all people and bring the truth of the Gospel to the world. Pope John Paul II reminded us of this great call when he said,
“Do not be afraid of the demands of the love of Christ. On the contrary, be afraid of being fainthearted, of taking things lightly, of seeking your comfort, of being selfish. Be afraid of everything that seeks to silence the voice of Christ who addresses each person.”
The various ministries and apostolates of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton seek to serve the spiritual, social, intellectual and material needs of all in our area. All in the parish are invited to come benefit from these good works and volunteer to be a part of them and “be not afraid.”
