Special Sacrament Classes

Children in 3rd through 6th grade who have been baptized Catholic but have not received the Sacraments of Penance and Communion, which are usually received in the 2nd grade, and/or not been enrolled in religious education classes prior will be enrolled in the Special Sacraments 3rd – 6th grade class.

This class gives the students an overview of the Catholic Faith and prepares them to receive the Sacraments of Penance and Communion, if needed, over the course of one school year. The students will use many different materials and resources in class to best learn the highlights of the Catholic Faith.

The students, in need of Penance and Communion, will also be required to participate in the Sacramental Preparation Programs. View Penance or Communion for more details.

Once they have completed the class, the students will be enrolled in the appropriate grade level for the following school year to continue their Faith journey, deepen their relationship with Christ, further their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, and prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in the 8th grade.

This class is offered weekly on Wednesday evenings, 6:00 pm – 7:15 pm. There is a registration fee of $60.

Please contact the Religious Education Office for more information about registration.
